Upravljanje odgojno-obrazovnom ustanovom: kompetencijski profil ravnatelja
Synopsis
This publication is the result of the European Social Fund co-financed project "Principal: Profession and Qualification, Not Just a Function." It is a collection of scientific and research studies conducted by pedagogues and psychologists from the University of Zadar. The findings highlight the multidimensional nature of the competence profile required for school principals.
The complexity of the school principal’s role is examined from several perspectives, including key factors shaping their work, the demands of lifelong learning and continuous professional development, and the implementation of an inclusive culture in schools. The publication also addresses topics such as the subjective well-being of teachers and school leaders, stress in the principal’s profession, emotional regulation among students, teachers, and school principals, and the interpersonal behavior of school leaders. Additionally, it explores theories and patterns of attachment, the role of self-efficacy in school leadership, and the principal’s influence in fostering an entrepreneurial culture within educational institutions.
Designed as a university-level textbook, this publication aims to support the professionalization of school principals, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of modern educational leadership.
