Prednosti i izazovi obrazovanja kod kuće iz perspektive roditelja
kritička analiza uhrvatskom kontekstu

Obrazovanje kod kuće (engl. homeschooling) predstavlja alternativni oblik obrazovanja koji se provodi u obiteljskom domu umjesto u formalnim odgojno-obrazovnim ustanovama. U Republici Hrvatskoj ovaj oblik obrazovanja nije zakonski reguliran, dok je u mnogim europskim državama integriran u zakonodavni okvir. Ovo istraživanje kritički ispituje stavove hrvatskih roditelja o prednostima i izazovima obrazovanja kod kuće te analizira čimbenike koji utječu na njihovu sklonost razmatranju ovoga obrazovnog modela uz poseban osvrt na roditeljsko pravo izbora i djetetovo pravo na kvalitetno obrazovanje. Provedeno je empirijsko istraživanje na uzorku od 80 roditelja te su dobiveni podatci kvantitativno i kvalitativno analizirani. Rezultati pokazuju da visokoobrazovani roditelji iskazuju veću informiranost o obrazovanju kod kuće, dok fleksibilnost, individualizirani pristup i negativna iskustva s formalnim školskim sustavom predstavljaju glavne motivacijske čimbenike. Većina roditelja ne smatra se dovoljno kompetentnima za samostalno provođenje obrazovnog procesa, što predstavlja značajnu barijeru implementaciji ovog pristupa u hrvatski kontekst. Rad kritički raspravlja o potencijalnim rizicima nereguliranog obrazovanja kod kuće, uključujući mogućnost obrazovne zapostavljenosti i zlouporabe, te postavlja pitanje: Ako većina roditelja nije kompetentna, pod kojim uvjetima bi regulacija obrazovanja kod kuće bila opravdana? Uvažavajući rastući interes za obrazovanje kod kuće, nužno je kontinuirano znanstveno istraživanje i razmatranje mogućnosti zakonske regulative u hrvatskom kontekstu, uz osiguravanje odgovarajućih standarda kvalitete i zaštite djece.
