INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Acta Iadertina - Journal of the Department of Pedagogy and Department of Philosophy

Address of Editorial Board: University of Zadar, Department of Pedagogy, Obala kralja Petra Krešimira IV / 2, 23000 Zadar, Croatia

The journal only publishes articles that are reviewed and is published twice a year.
The reviewed articles are categorized into the following categories:
- original scientific paper
- preliminary report
- review
- conference paper
- professional paper

The original scientific paper contains so far unpublished original researches presented in an objectively verifiable way.

The preliminary report contains new scientific research results that require rapid publication. It does not have to enable verification of results.

The review must be an original, concise and critical representation of one area or part of it in which the author actively participates. It should be emphasized the role of author's original contribution in this area in relation to already published works, as well as an overview of these works.

The conference paper, previously presented at the conference, must be published in the form of an integral article only if it is not previously published in the conference proceedings.

The professional paper contains useful contributions from a particular profession and does not have to be original research.

The final decision on the category of article is made by the Editorial Board on the basis of the review. The reviewers are scientists from the field (or branches) which author treats in the article. Double blind reviews are being conducted. Authors should act according to the guidelines of the reviewers and edit the entire text according to the propositions of the journal. The authors of the articles receive from the Editorial Board one copy of the ACTA IADERTINA in which their paper was published.

The editorial board receives only unpublished manuscripts. Authors are obliged to enclose a statement that the same work or the same work in abbreviated or extended form has not previously been published. Works are accepted throughout the year and are submitted digitally via electronic mail at the following addresses:

Asist. prof. dr. Matilda Karamatić Brčić: mkarama@unizd.hr - Editor in Chief and / or

Assoc. prof. dr. Jasmina Vrkić Dimić: jvdimic@unizd.hr - Executive Editor.

Paper should be arranged according to the following propositions:

Summary: The summary and the keywords (from three to a maximum of six keywords that are not included in the title of the paper) must be enclosed with the paper in Croatian and English language. The summary should be between 200 and 300 words and refer to the work goal, the methodology used and the results obtained.

Text: Word document, double line (30 rows per page) in Times New Roman standard font and font size 12. All pages should be properly numbered. The editorial board reserves the right to adapt manuscript to the propositions of the journal and standards of Croatian/English literary language. Articles may be written in Croatian or English language with an abstract in Croatian and English. The desired range of scientific and professional papers (including an abstract with highlighted keywords, bibliography and placements for tabular / graphical attachments) is between one and two authoring pages (16 to 32 typed pages). In agreement with the Editor in chief, the range of the article may be larger. On the first page of the paper, the title of the paper should be written in capital letters, the name(s) and surname(s) of the author(s), the name of the institution and/or its component which the author(s) are employed and the e-mail address.

Graphic Attachments: Images, graphs and tables must be expressed in black, white and gray colors and placed in the appropriate place in the text. Each image, graphic display, and table must have the "Picture / Diagram / Table" tag, followed by the numbering starting from the first to the last insert (attachment) of that type in the text. The titles of the images and graphic images should appear below the graphics, while the table titles should be above the table.

Reference and Literature: A list of all bibliographic units in the literature needs to be numbered. Harvard referral system and bibliographic references are applied. In the list of literature, only those bibliographic units based on which the work is written and which the author directly refers to are included. If other authors thoughts, sentences or syntaxes are mentioned in the paper, the source should be listed in the text rather than in the notes at the bottom of the page or at the end of the paper (eg Bašić, 2011:19). The literature list should be listed in alphabetical order by author's surnames. For web sources, you should specify the source download date.
