The first number of the newly founded International Journal for Euromediterranean German Studies (GEM – Germanistica Euromediterrae) comprises a selection of papers presented at the 10th Annual Session of the Southeast European German Studies Association organized with courtesy of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) by the Department of German Studies at the University of Zadar in cooperation with the Research Centre German in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe (FZ DiMOS) at the University of Regensburg and the Chair of Modern German Literature and Media atthe Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich on the topic „Mediterranean – Balkan – Orient.
