Thedescendants of Vrgada's precitizens mostly become deserted by pestilence epidemic during theyears 1631/32. Today's citizens are descendants of newcomers which in the mid of 17th century come to Vrgada, mostly as refugee families from the West Bosnia, and in minor from the near settlements on the coast and on the islands.
