This work deals with the status and changes of Croatian National Minority (Burgenland Croats or Gradiscan Croats) in the Güssing County of Burgenland Federal State in Austria from 1923 to 1991. About five centuries of continuos existence of Croats in this area is now endangered with the remarkable decrease of their absolute number as a consequence of assimilation and emigration. Therefore many Croatian settlements which have existed there for many years thanks to relative isolation, are easily loosing its Croatian identity.References
