Abstract

The main aim of this research was to determine the influence of morphological characteristics (17 predicative variables) on the results accomplished in six specific basketball tests (criteria ) in 9-11 years old boys. For that purpose, the series of multiple regression analyses were performed. Altogether 127 boys from basketball school "Prvi koš" in Zadar participated in this research. The results showed that there is a significant, but moderate relationship between the specific motor tests and morphological characteristics. The highest relationship was observed in throwing ball test and bouncing the ball from the wall with the tests which indirectly represent muscular mass and chronological age.
