Abstract

A sample of 292 pre-school children, of witch 141 girls and 151 boys, from 3 to 6 years of age, were given some of the tests for measuring their throwing abilities (throwing of a volleyball ball from below with both hands and throwing of a tennis ball with both stronger and weaker hands). The results were used to make a development curves of motoric achievements of boys and girls. It was established that throwing efficiency is increasing year by year, but also that in some types of throwing there are statistically significant differencies between the sexes. There were also made tables for evaluating the throwing efficiency of each child and educational group in relation to the population, witch enables a kinesiological approach in modelling the process of physical exercise in kindergartens.
