Analysis of the number of hours of practice the German language at the undergraduate study of German

The paper presents the results of research comparing the number of hours for compulsory courses of practice the German language at the undergraduate studies of German in Croatia and a few select universities in France, Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands and Poland. Research has been expanded with the survey conducted among students of German studies in Zadar on the number of hours of practice the German language, the usefulness of the courses and the self-evaluation on the progress of individual language skills. The aim of the study was to determine whether to decrease or increase the number of hours of practice the German language at the undergraduate study of German in Zadar. The research results show differences in the number of hours on the basis of differences in the organization of study and lead to the conclusion that the current number of hours is necessary to retain.References
