The work of Ivo Vojnović in view of criticism of Croatian modernity (Wenzelides' reading of Ivo Vojnović)

Abstract

The author analyzes the critiques, articles and studies on Ivo Vojnović from the first paper published in 1903 to 1917 when he published a study on Ivo Vojnović in a separate book in Sarajevo. Wenzelides' reading of Ivo Vojnović is the result of mature critical approach that can be a guideline in reading modern Croatian literature even today, but it can also become a way for discovering specific features of Croatian literature at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century which can be observed in the works of Ivo Vojnović.
