Author gives an estimation of the achievements of the physiocratic school which was active in France between 1748. and 1780. Then he gives and overview of the influence of the physiocratic school in our regions, especially in Dalmatia. He also gives a short review of the later development of the economic thought (English classical political economy, Malthus, J.S. Mill, historical school, subjectivistic approaches, theory of the state capitalism, theory of monopolistic competition, contemporary economic theory). At the end the author stresses that many economic schools of later date overtook to some exLcnt some of the views of the physiocratic writers, elaborated them and made them part of their scientific systems.References
