Economical history and political economy

Firstly, the author briefly discusses the specific features of economic history. Then he presents the relationship of general economic history and political economy. He specially discusses the economic-historical component no, only in the political economy of the capitalism, political economy of socialism and in the history of economic doctrines, but also in the national economy as a scientific discipline related to political economy. The author stresses the point that the general economic history and political economy are in living reciprocal relations and that there is an interdisciplinary collaboration between economic history and economic theory which is very fruitfull for both disciplines. The articles includes the presentation of selected events on the Yugoslav territory that are of interest for European and also world economic history. (For example: the rise of first manufactures in Dubrovnik at the beginning of the 15th century. Those arc the first manufactures in our regions and also among the first in Europe...)
