The author shows the specific way of election for the regional assembly at the beginning of 1927 with special reference to the engagement of Ihe KPJ (Communist party) in such elections. The author investigates the conditions for the formation of Croatian peasant-workers union and presents a critical overview stating that the enemieis ties were not sufficiently ready for cooperation with the unrealiable dissidents of the Croatian paesani party. Without taking into consideration relatively important success of the election, the author conies to the conclusion that the leadership of Dalmatian communist movement was too forced and opportunistic and this threatened Hie dominant class struggle of the opposition in the election process. In such a context we have to see Ihe severe critical approach to the errors of Dalmatian communists on the side of the right fraction in the Central committee of the KPJ which was blind to the opportunistic behaviour of the wm Iters and peasant« claiming that it protect the movement against the burgeoise ideology The regional elections led into more conflict among the political parties and they also contributed to the ideological and organigli tonal disunion with the KPJ which was already under way for some time.References
