Unpublished finds of pre-romanesque stone plastic from the region of North Dalmatia

Abstract

The author deals wiih finds of stone church furniture (fragments of altar septum) originating from a wider region of around Zadar, specifically from the territory of the former diocese of Nin: two fragments of an architrave and four fragments of phiteus. Together with information concerning the circumstances and places of the finds, the author describes the finds and makes typological and chronological analysis. The finds are approximately between the 6th to the end of the 10th c. and they are very significant for ubication of early Christian and early medieval (pre- Romanesque) sacral architecture in the region.
