Due to "quantitative" archaeology it is estimated approximately the volume and weight of about 117,600 tones of stone material and lime mortar which should have been used to finish the urbanisation of Liburian Aenona. Many a Roman rock quarry was in the closest relation towards the Early imperial urbanisation of Libumian Aenona. From the economic and safety reasons the oldest roundabout way passing around the peninsula (Puncta Ure from 1347) had been abandoned, (today's island of Vir) and the new Roman port was built, not close to Aenona but some 2,5 km farther from the town at the Zadar canal coast. The insecure maritime way from Veliki Ždrelac to Aenona was shortened for more than 70% becoming safer for sailing. In this completely new maritime and coastal traffic direction beside the new port, the connecting road should be built as well as a new stone bridge over Ričina.References
