Contrasting/comparing languages enables a better and deeper familiarisation both with the foreign and with the maother tongue. It enables a faster and more profound acquisition of the foreign language, helps the writing of more modem and useful textbooks, enables a fuller and more correct familiarisation with the culture, habits and way of life of foreign speakers. In a word, contrasting languages is both necessary and important. However, it is in no way simple to answer the question whether and to what extent contrasting language, in this sense, contrasting words is possible. The article shows how contrasting words is possible only in one small segment and proposes the contrasting of phraseology and textology alongside the contrasting of words.References
