Abstract

In the article author gives a succinct overview of the representatives of cultural pedagogy in Croatia. Closely connected with German philosophical and pedagogical models, cultural pedagogy explained, in its own manner, a number of essential educational-philosophical and general pedagogical questions: the power and role of education, the scientific status of pedagogy, the relationship between pedagogy and philosophy, philosophy and ethics, the cultural-historical grounding of pedagogy, etc.. The author points to the need of fuller and more versatile assessment of this significant pedagogical problematic, a task that has not been sufficiently carried out by Croatian scholars.
