Abstract

What made evolutionary epistemology possible is the fact of the hereditary quality of cognitive abilities. Traditional epistemology was losing both in its substantiality and through being formalized and symbolized in mathematics and logic, as well as through observation and experiment as means to gain a science basis. Thus science gets responses to some questions in the domain of philosophy. Evolutionary epistemology has a negative response as to die question of our possessing a certain and incorrigible knowledge about die world. The argument for such a response rests on the fact that our cognitive apparatus is subject to evolutionary forces, die activity of which has no finalistic character.
