An attempt is made in the article to put forth kind of ''Theoretical model" for classificatory elements which, in reality, represent a systematization of a series of methodological aspects, investigation procedures and activities in general, but especially for those used by the sociologist in empirical inquires into social phenomena. The author’s basic assumption in the belief that if one is not acquainted with the richness of the empirical world, no kinds of theory, nor the very science itself, could be developed. The conclusory remarks make an effort to outline some of the acute problems in sociologica, methodology. On the basis the analysis, it is possible to speak of the current stagnant state of affairs prevailing in empirical investigations within the fields of sociological studies.
