With the aid of the JUS-queslionnaire basic and specific school self-concept of youth was measured (N=243) from the first and second years of various secondary schools. Afterwards evidence was made of their general yearly school success and success in individual subjects. Obtaining a correlation between these variables showed that general school self-concept was substantially connected, not only with general scholastic success, but also with success in some subjects. But. this connection was however, lower than those which formed specific self-concept and successful marks in certain subjects.
