Relation between phenomenologies of »broken home« and juvenile delinquency in postwar (1947-1961) and recent period (1967-1981) has been researched by documentary and the content analysis methodologies. The results obtained indicate a significantly greater number of juvenile delinquenitis (ca three-quartens) derives from complete (not broken) families than from the broken ones. The same results also indicate that number of juvenile delinquents derived from illegitimate children population is insignificant (ca four per cent). It follows that the results of this research indicate there is not statistically significant correlation between »broken home« and juvenile delinquency in Yugoslavia and, consequently, that juvenile delinquency etiology can not be reduced to »broken home«.References
