The interdependece among the development of work, science, technology, production relations all determine the educational function in every society. These factors are causally related. On the other hand, these changes have their ergological reflexion and the results are foreshadowed in greater intelleetualizalion of human work which demands better educated workers. It is necessary to solve one of very important controversions of modem society which is evident in the educational and ergological deficit which also implies critical condition in society and educational system. Such ciitical conditions are found in all countries with the difference that the industrially developed societies solve this problem by the authority of their economic and political dominance. Natural resources are transient while the power of human mind is spiritus movens of prosperity and this is acquired by good education. Thus education is heavy industry of development.
Quantitative growth of education is analogous to the developmental steps of quantitative growth of production, i.e. individual producation is equivalent to individual education, serial production is equivalent to group education, and mass production is equivalent to mass education. This trend of educational expansion is supported by democratization and the increase of widespread education. Apart from the formal, there are informal aspects of it. Beside institutional forms of education there are extra institutional ones, the education of the young is followed by the education of the adults.
Last century was marked by the fast development of basic and compulsory education while our century is marked by a strong development of middle, higher and high education. Every third inhabitant is involved in some way in the educational process so that the education involving the engagement of human potential becomes the most developed activity.
The process of the adult education helps the expansion of educational process and this proces is today known as andrological movement which is based on the philosophy of permanent education.
