Educational retrospectives and new perpestives

Abstract

In the paper about »Educational retrospectives and new perspectives« the author gives a chronological documentary survey of research made by the Department of Education of the Zadar Philosophical Faculty. Based on the initiative conception that the complete training of teachers includes, besides preparation for work in school, education for leisure, a special centre has been formed making inquiries and analyses of possibilités for leisure activities in the community of Zadar. So far, the initiative has in practice not yet been accepted by the authorities, mostly outside the Faculty, so that the training of teachers continues according to the old, classical pattern. With the foundation of the Institute for Pedagogy and Psychology, however, due to the reform of system, new perpectives open for a more modern way of teacher training.
